This policy explains what personal data is collected when you use missiondriveninnovation.com, why it is collected, and how it is handled.

Newsletter sign-up. When you sign up, we store your email address and, if you provide them, your name, job title and company, to send you occasional emails from Anita Friis Sommer about the book, her work and speaking. The list is kept with our email provider, Brevo. We do not share it with third parties for their marketing. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or by writing to us.
Orders. When you buy the book, we collect your name, delivery and billing address, email and (if provided) phone number to fulfil the order. This information is shared with the parties needed to process your purchase: PensoPay (our payment provider, which processes your payment), and Shipmondo together with the carrier handling your delivery (DAO in Denmark, GLS within the EU, DHL Express to Norway and the United Kingdom, and UPS to the rest of the world) to ship the book and provide tracking. We never see or store your card details; PensoPay handles them. Order confirmations and other order emails are sent through Brevo. Your name, delivery address and email are needed to conclude and deliver the order, and are partly required by the Bookkeeping Act; without them we cannot accept the order. Your phone number is optional.
Contact and speaking enquiries. When you use the contact or speaking enquiry form, we collect what you enter, such as your name, email, phone number, organisation, location and message. The enquiry is delivered to our mailbox by email through Brevo, and we use it only to answer you and, where relevant, to plan an engagement. We need your email address to reply; the form marks the other fields that are required, and the rest are optional.
Withdrawal requests. If you use our online withdrawal form, we collect your name, email, order number and any details you add, send you an acknowledgment by email, and keep the request in our mailbox and with your order records.
Visit statistics. We measure how the site is used with Matomo, an analytics tool we run on our own server (stats.s0mmer.dk), not a third-party service. Matomo is set up to use no cookies at all, and the tracking script respects your browser's Do Not Track setting. It processes information such as the pages you visit, the referring site, your browser and device type, and your IP address. We use it only for aggregated statistics about the site and do not share it with anyone.
This website loads typefaces (Fraunces and Hanken Grotesk) directly from Google Fonts servers. When a page loads, your browser sends a request to Google, which receives your IP address. This is a transfer of data to Google LLC (USA), which is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Google's privacy policy applies to that interaction: policies.google.com/privacy.
We use no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. When you dismiss the notice about cookies and fonts, your browser remembers that choice in its local storage (an entry named mdiCookieOk) so the notice isn't shown again. You can clear it at any time in your browser settings.
If you add the book to your basket, the shop sets technical cookies that keep your basket and checkout working (for example woocommerce_cart_hash, woocommerce_items_in_cart and wp_woocommerce_session_*). These are strictly necessary for the purchase and are not used to track you. WordPress also sets a session cookie if you log in as an administrator; this is never set for regular visitors.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to access, rectify, or erase personal data we hold about you. You also have the right to restrict or object to processing, and the right to data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Right to object. Where we rely on our legitimate interests (visit statistics and answering enquiries), you can object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, by writing to anita@missiondriveninnovation.com. If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, the statistics script does not record your visit. Fonts are requested from Google whenever a page loads, as described in section 2.
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.
You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Authority (datatilsynet.dk) if you believe your rights have not been respected.
